Although
not a wireless terminal, this is a low cost
alternative to the costly wireless terminals
and with special programming, is available
in an "offline" mode. When a phone
line is not available simply turn the machine
to off-line and it will "capture"
the credit card information and store it
in the machines memory until you can get
to a phoneline to "upload" the
transactions. Will store up to 100 transactions
before you need to upload. A great option
for those trade-shows and flea markets where
phone lines are not available or are too
expensive. The best part is, since you will
actually be running the card through the
magnetic stripe reader, you still qualify
for the "retail" rates! If power
is not available, the 2085U model comes
with an internal battery, making it truly
mobile and cord free!
