1. How long does it typically take to set up a new account?
The merchant account can be approved within 24 hours of receiving the required documents and depending on your selected method of shipment, you can receive your terminal in as fast as 1-2 business days. If you already have a terminal, it can be programmed as soon as the merchant account is approved and the merchant ID issued.

2. How do I get paid?
Credit card sales are deposited directly into your checking account.

3. How long does it take for the funds to be transferred to my account?
24-48 hours is the norm for all standard processors.

4. Do I need a business checking account?
If your business operates as a corporation, yes, a business account is required. If your business operates as a sole proprietorship or a partnership, the only requirement is that the individual or partners' name(s) be listed on the account.

5. If I purchase equipment or supplies, how is it shipped?
You choose your desired shipping method.

6. When the terminal/software dials out for approval, am I charged any long distance or communication fees?
No, communication is made via a toll-free line.

7. Do I need a dedicated phone line?
No. Terminals have dual phone jacks, which offers you the ability to connect the terminal and other peripheral equipment (modem, phone, fax) to one line.

8. Will I have 24-hour customer support?
Absolutely! LNC Merchant Services guarantees constant, quality support for all of our customers. Regardless of your time zone, you will have access 24/7 to technical support, via our toll-free number.

9. What if my terminal breaks down?
Customers maintaining a valid merchant account with LNC Merchant Services have the following warranty:

LNC Merchant Services will replace any faulty equipment free of charge for one year from the date it is shipped. After one year has elapsed, customers can order equipment from our replacement program. If a terminal or other piece of equipment needs repair, a replacement of the same model and manufacturer will be sent to you within 24 hours. The replacement terminal or equipment will be shipped to you pre-programmed with your merchant account and will be ready to use. It will come with a 6-month warranty, and you pay only the shipping and handling charges, which will be billed directly to your account. A call tag will be issued for the terminal or equipment needing repair, and once shipped the malfunctioning terminal or equipment will not be returned.

10. Who installs the terminal?
You do! The terminal installation process is very simple and it is our pleasure to walk you through it. You will also receive toll-free assistance and 24-hr customer support

11. Do I receive training?
When you receive your terminal, you will find diagrammed directions and the 1-800 number for customer training. You will receive step-by-step instructions to give you all the knowledge you need to set-up, process and transmit.

12. How do I sign up for American Express® and Discover® Card?
American Express® (no set up fees)
We will send you an application form for American Express, unless you request otherwise, as American Express® requires separate approval from Mastercard® & Visa®. Once you have been approved, we will internally activate your account. All you do is sign the forms. The rates will vary depending on business type and average sale amount.

13. Am I charged batch fees?
No. Once a transaction is swiped/entered, our system sends the transactions for that day to be settled.

American Express® - The following is the rate range you can expect to see (rates and fees for American Express® are subject to change):

Retail - Average sale $150 or less = 3.25%
Average sale $150-249 = 3.10%
Average sale $250+ = 2.95%
Internet/Mail/Telephone order - $0- $4,999 total annual volume = $5.00 per month, flat fee.
$5,000 or higher annually volume = 3.5%

We will forward your request directly to Discover®. Once a merchant number has been issued for your company by Discover®, we will add the information to your file.
